Work: Relocate the historic 1888 Tate House from 122 West Peach Street to the Cotton Belt Railroad Historic District at 701 South Main Street (between the Bragg House and the water tower/blacksmith shop) and restore its exterior to its 1888 period of significance for use as two artisan rental spaces. Type: relocation Staff rec: approve with conditions Discussion: Klempin explained the house would be moved in two pieces and lined up with the neighboring houses, saying 'The Depot would look like a village and draw more people to the area.' Meyer asked about the siding, and Klempin said the overlay siding would be removed and the original teardrop siding restored. Outcome: approved with conditions (6-0) — moved Ashley Anderson, second Taylor Bunn Conditions: Building permit to be obtained from the Building Department; All exterior materials, windows, doors and door hardware, light fixtures and paint colors to be approved under separate Certificate(s) of Appropriateness
