Work: Final revisions to approved mixed-use Main Street project: brick, door and window selections, pedestrian safety guard rail, and minor facade alterations Type: new_construction Staff rec: approve with conditions Discussion: Commissioners flagged "the lack of terra cotta brick so prevalent on the original buildings on Main Street" and wanted mortar joints matching historic buildings; Telford said the two dark buildings on the south end were "weighing in heavy." Applicant to return with a final color rendering on board. Outcome: approved with conditions (5-0 (Voelker added by 10/23 handwritten amendment)) — moved Margaret Telford, second Chuck Voelker Conditions: Return with color rendition on board of actual brick colors and placement, including terra cotta color brick; Mortar joints as found on Main Street's historic buildings

Work: Langley House: install replacement wood window sash in original window openings; replace all exterior doors of original portion with new non-matching doors Type: windows, doors Staff rec: approve replacement wood window sash; deny non-matching replacement doors Discussion: Gilliam asked Perrault "if he wanted to put the wrong doors on a historic house"; Wilbanks explained the proposed $800 doors "might look similar but actually were not similar." Shope asked Klempin to help Perrault locate appropriate doors. Outcome: approved with conditions (5-0 (Voelker added by 10/23 handwritten amendment)) — moved Sean Shope, second Margaret Telford Conditions: Windows approved as specified; The two doors (front and side) tabled - return to Commission with two appropriate doors for approval
