Work: Revised plans for the CA14-59 renovation/addition after the Board of Zoning Adjustment found the architect's square-footage error made 'the lot coverage too great': house reduced by 400 sq ft (rear exercise wing eliminated, master bedroom reconfigured) and the garage's hip-and-gable roof replaced with a gable roof. Type: addition, garage_outbuilding, roof Staff rec: Approval of the revised plans with the condition all exterior materials, windows, doors and hardware, lighting fixtures and paint colors be approved under separate CA(s). Discussion: Cooper agreed the revision brought the project within code and said the garage roof change 'was now better as a gable roof to match with the gables of the house.' Vice Chairman Derr 'questioned the new style decorative garage windows and asked to keep the windows simple.' Outcome: approved with conditions (7-0) — moved Margaret Telford, second Sean Shope Conditions: All exterior materials, windows, doors and hardware, lighting fixtures and paint colors approved under separate Certificate(s) of Appropriateness
