Work: Renovate existing building to serve as N2 Bar-B-Q Restaurant (Cotton Belt Railroad Industrial Historic District): match existing siding/roofing, remove and replace exterior doors, construct new outdoor dining patio, remove privacy fence, construct new parking area, new business signage. Type: other, doors, sign, fence, hardscape Staff rec: Approve with conditions Discussion: English said the name meant not 'into' but 'the two Nicks, father and son,' pitching mesquite-smoked barbeque with Texas-only wines and beers; a letter of support from John Beck was read. Work: Construct new one-story Cameron-style house (2,250 sf, 3BR/3BA) with attached rear two-car garage on the vacant landmarked lot. Type: new_construction Staff rec: Approve with conditions Discussion: Derr confirmed the windows were 'six over six'; a letter of support from Janice Daniel was read.
