Work: Demolish a non-original shed; lift and relocate the near-original 1956 house (contributing to the West Wall Street Historic District) forward to the front setback; construct new additions to the sides and rear; and build a new two-car detached garage. Type: relocation, addition, garage_outbuilding, demolition Staff rec: approval with conditions Discussion: Commissioners discussed the added front dormers (moved back about two feet) and the streetscape; Jane Everett of the Grapevine Housing Authority raised drainage concerns over the property's '36 inch drop' toward her adjoining housing. Telford corrected the written history - the house 'was not originally the Shope House' but was built by Tommy and Ann Frank - and Klempin assured her it was 'a very stable, stout house' to move; Voelker said it was 'nice to see a house well-kept and intact.' Outcome: approved with conditions (7-0) — moved Jason Parker, second Eric Gilliland Conditions: All exterior materials including siding and trim, roofing, doors and door hardware, windows and light fixtures staff approved under a separate Certificate of Appropriateness; Building permit obtained from the Building Department
