Public hearing items

CA19-127 — 512 Estill Street

Work: Renovate and expand existing 1,042 sq ft house: lift onto new foundation, construct 2,014 sq ft side/rear addition, and build new two-car detached garage (approved at 674 sq ft via variance combining the 200 sq ft shed allowance). Type: addition, garage_outbuilding Staff rec: Approve with conditions (plans comply with ordinance design requirements) Discussion: Cooper disclosed the garage with combined workshop actually totals 674 sq ft, not the 500 listed; the Commission agreed to fold a garage/shed variance into the approval as done on previous garage plans. Telford 'complimented not tearing the house down,' and Cox noted 'it was nice the house was left intact.' Outcome: approved with conditions (7-0) — moved Chuck Voelker, second Jason Parker Conditions: Variance granted combining the 200 sq ft shed allowance with the 500 sq ft garage for a 674 sq ft detached garage; Permit obtained from the Building Department
