Work: Relocate the historic 1908 Winfrey House from 750 Shady Brook (former GRACE headquarters; site needed for sewage-treatment expansion) to the Ted R. Ware Plaza at 619 South Church Street, restore the exterior to its 1908 period painted white, with the front porch to serve as a performance stage and the interior as CVB storage. Type: relocation Staff rec: approve with conditions Discussion: Klempin noted the property is zoned for Government Use; Telford called it 'an excellent plan' and Ewbank recalled attending a bluegrass band event at Ted Ware Plaza. Shope asked whether the Grapevine Heritage Foundation had a hand in the earlier move; Klempin said no. Outcome: approved with conditions (7-0) — moved Ashley Anderson, second Taylor Bunn Conditions: City Council must approve a house moving permit; Permit to be obtained from the Building Services Department; All exterior materials, windows, doors and door hardware, light fixtures and paint colors to be approved under separate Certificate(s) of Appropriateness
